MS Dhoni seals thrilling win for Help for Heroes vs Rest of the World in charity match at The Oval



India’s limited-overs captain MS Dhoni on Thursday night was involved in yet another thrilling finish, as he helped his team Help for Heroes to seal a win by wickets in their charity T20 match against the Rest of the World, at The Oval. Chasing 159 to win, the Help for Heroes side had to face some nervous moments, including a wicket in the final over of the game when they needed a few runs to win. The situation was tense for the Indian skipper, who as named Man of the Match for his crucial innings of 38 that helped the Heroes for Help win the match with three balls to spare. In his trademark style, the Indian batsman hit a boundary when Help for Heroes needed 4 runs to win from 4 balls against the Rest of the World, who had piled up a strong score of 158 as they batted first in the charity match. The Help for Heroes team had the likes of former England captain and the current director of cricket Andrew Strauss, the dashing South African opener Herschelle Gibbs, India’s explosive batsman Virender Sehwag, Dhoni, Australia’s Damien Martyn, Dawid Malan, Major Storm Green, Graeme Swann, Simon Jones, Matthew Hogard, Darren Gough and Jonathan Parker. The Rest of the World XI has the likes of Brendon McCullum, Graeme Smith, Matthew Hayden, Mahela Jayawardene, Corporal Jake Wray, Brian Lara, Abdul Razzaq, Scott Styris, Daniel Vettori, Tim Southee, Shapoor Zadran and Azhar Mahmud. The charity match is reported to have generated an amount of 300,000 pounds.
